An infidelity is a betrayal, a loss of trust.

An infidelity is a betrayal, a loss of trust. It is lying or disloyalty to one’s partner or lover. Infidelity may be sexual or emotional in nature and typically involves a third person. Infidelity does not necessarily involve physical separation, but can be characterized by emotional detachment as well. Emotional detachment can happen when you lose your partner’s trust or if you lie to your partner or tell them half-truths. Betraying your partner may inflict a deep pain that is difficult to repair and sometimes causes irrevocable damage to the relationship that hastens its end. There are many things that can occur in the wake of an infidelity. If you are married, an infidelity could lead to divorce. If you are in a committed relationship, it could lead to a break up.

So what happens after infidelity occurs in your relationship?

There are distinct stages a relationship goes through in the wake of an infidelity.

1.	Roller Coaster Stage. This is the stage where strong emotions arise – emotions such as anger and self-blame followed by a period of introspection and appreciation of the relationship. Just like it says, your emotions go for a roller coaster ride, up and down, round and round and it’s a bit hard to figure out exactly where you are.

2.	Moratorium Stage. This stage is a less emotional stage, at least for the person who was cheated upon. In this stage, the person affected tries to make sense of the betrayal. They may ask for more detail about the affair or retreat into themselves or quietly seek help from others regarding the issue.

3.	Trust Building Stage. This stage takes place when the couple has decided to stay together. During this stage, the couple really tries to make their marriage work. They decide that a continued commitment to their relationship is important and with time, eventually forgiveness and trust can be achieved.

After an infidelity occurs, you may still find yourself often doubting your partner. Don’t lose heart, there is hope. Here are some signs that may indicate if a person is still worthy of your love.

•	Expresses sincere remorse and regret for cheating on you

•	Heartfelt apologies feel true when you hear them

•	Accepts total blame for his or her betrayal

•	Cuts off all contact with the third party

•	Shows a renewed appreciation, admiration, respect and devotion to only you

•	Displays a willingness and openness to talk about what happened

•	Is willing and eager to go into marriage counseling with you

If both of you are willing to participate in a deep, open, and honest conversation regarding your relationship and how you would like it to progress, there is a good chance you will be able to work through your issues.

If, on the other hand, your partner is not open to discussing these things with you and not demonstrating any of the possible reconcilement signs listed above, it may be time to cut your losses and get out. Additional signs that it might be time to end the relationship are: your partner seems to be more agitated than usual and seems to emotionally and physically withdraw from you. They may go out alone more often and may be making clandestine phone calls or working late hours. You might even receive anonymous phone calls at the house. If several of these things are occurring, then most probably your partner is cheating on you. If you can find concrete evidence of this infidelity, then it’s probably a good idea to break up. A relationship that is based on lies, lacks trust and lack of commitment is doomed to fail.

After an infidelity occurs, be aware of any signs that may indicate your partner’s willingness to stay and work it out or clear intention to follow along the path of continued betrayal. Just be careful and pay attention. Make the best decision for you.

What are the infidelity signs of a cheating man or woman? If you are reading this article, you are probably suspecting that your husband or wife is cheating on you. However, you are not 100% sure but you have a very strong feeling about it.

Well, if that is the situation, it is probably time to find out the truth. Catching a cheating spouse is not really as difficult as it seems. It can be very easy if you know the infidelity signs to look out for.

While some infidelity signs are quite subtle and not easy to catch, a number of them are pretty obvious and you should be able to spot them easily. Let us look at some of those infidelity signs that are easy to catch.

1) Sneaky Behavior Around The Phone

If your spouse is behaving sneakily around the phone, chances are he or she may be having an extra marital affairs. For example, whenever he/she sees you entering the room, she quickly hangs up. Or he/she may lower his/her volume or just suddenly become silent.

Another point to take note is this:

Is your spouse using the cell phone more than the home phone? Cheating men and women are afraid of being caught and because of that, they prefer to use cell phone.

2) Becoming Less Affectionate

Has your spouse become less affectionate than before? Usually, one tell tale sign of cheating is that your spouse will become less affectionate to you than before. This is because he/she has found a new love and their affection is now reserved for their new love.

Sometimes, cheating spouses may suddenly become more affectionate than ever. This happens because of guilt. They simply want to relieve their guilt by treating their partner better.

3) Taking More Time TO Dress Up

If you spouse is now suddenly taking more time to dress up than he/she used to, this may be another sign of infidelity. Chances are, he/she Is trying to dress up to impress his/her new lover.

Has your husband been putting on cologne recently? Has your wife betting putting on perfume more often recently? In fact, another use of cologne or perfume is to cover up the scent of another man or woman.

Now, even if you have observed signs of cheating, you still shouldn’t confront your spouse yet. Chances are he/she will deny or simply become more defensive. Before confronting your spouse, you will need more concrete evidence. Infidelity signs are just signs and cannot be used as concrete evidence against them.

Catching a cheating spouse is very easy once you know what you need to look out for.

For some soldiers, leaving active duty service and entering the workforce is a frightening prospect. Many of these individuals might worry that they will have trouble finding a job during the difficult economy or that their military skill set will not be enough to help them compete with college degree holders. However, many federal and private organizations have launched programs to help veterans ease this transition.

Returning soldiers might consider taking college courses or enrolling in degree programs online or on campus as part of Montgomery GI Bill benefits. Individuals who served in any branch of the US Armed Forces for more than 90 days after the date of September 10, 2001, are also eligible to take advantage of a Post-9/11 GI Bill that could help them complete campus-based or online degree programs by paying up to the highest in-state tuition and fees. In addition, for some, there are allowances for housing and books. A US Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs in August approved an expansion of the Post-9/11 GI Bill as well.

The expansion is known as the Veterans Employment Act of 2010. With it, veterans would receive Post-9/11 educational assistance also for apprenticeships and job training, and the Labor Secretary would provide monthly allowances to unemployed veterans enrolled in eligible full-time employment training programs where they learn skills related to in-demand careers. The Veterans Employment Act also calls for ways that colleges, universities and technical schools could provide veterans with academic credit for military experience and training.

The unemployment rate among Iraq and Afghanistan veterans for July 2010 was 11.8 percent, about 4 percent higher than the rate for the same month last year, as well as the July 2010 rate for veterans overall, according to the Marine Corps Times. The Veterans Employment Act calls for the Small Business Administration to help veterans of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom in some areas to receive entrepreneurial training and counseling and to assist veterans who own and control businesses. States, on the other hand, through grants would be able to establish volunteer and employment opportunities for veterans in state conservation projects, while the Secretary of Defense provides veterans with employment in military construction projects. In addition to programs that would help veterans build upon existing information technology and healthcare skills when entering careers in these fields, the Veterans Employment Act directs the Labor Secretary to encourage the employment of veterans in the energy industry.

Some veterans interested in filling state jobs related to the environment and increasingly “green” jobs within the energy industry and elsewhere might consider online degree and certificate programs that could help them update existing skills. A 2009 White House study estimates that by 2016 green jobs will have grown by 52 percent from 2000 levels. To create what some refer to as “green collar” jobs, President Barack Obama in 2008 said he would spend $150 billion over the course of a decade, a Time magazine article reported.

Veterans have an array of college, university and technical school programs related to the environment from which to choose. Institutions throughout the country last year established or announced more than 113 academic programs with sustainability focuses, the Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Education reports. As Illinois colleges and universities add new green classes, they’re filling up quickly, a summer 2010 report in suburban Chicago’s Daily Herald noted. In California, where the state intends to slash carbon emissions by 25 percent into 2020, gas and electric companies have suggested that mechanics be trained in natural gas technology, an article in the community college magazine Affinityonline reported.

The focus at community colleges particularly is on training for “green collar” jobs that Affinityonline reports often require manual labor. These types of jobs might be found in sectors such as energy, agriculture, construction, transportation and alternative fuels – and they don’t necessarily require a bachelor’s degree, the online publication noted. Veterans particularly are a focus of natural gas programs scheduled to start in 2011 at a community college and a technical school in Pennsylvania, where they might receive instruction in welding and brazing, rotary drilling and more.

Many colleges, universities and technical schools have been adding programs such as these with help from federal stimulus money. While the programs could prove rewarding for a variety of people, veterans particularly might find them a productive and fulfilling way of making use of military education benefits and easing transition to civilian work. Veterans and others participating in sustainability programs through college online courses might also find themselves better positioned for existing job openings and jobs that open in the future.

By Karen Peralta What is Stress? Stress may be defined as the three-way relationship between demands on people, our feelings about those demands and our ability to cope with them.

What is Stress?

Stress may be defined as the three-way relationship between demands on people, our feelings about those demands and our ability to cope with them. Stress is most likely to occur in situations where:

1. Demands are high.

2. The amount of control we have is low.

3. There is limited support or help available for us.

Who is Affected Most by Stress?

Virtually all people experience stressful events or situations that overwhelm our natural coping mechanisms. And although some people are biologically prone to stress, many outside factors influence susceptibility as well.

Studies indicate that some people are more vulnerable to the effects of stress than others. Older adults; women in general, especially working mothers and pregnant women; less-educated people; divorced or widowed people; people experiencing financial strains such as long-term unemployment; people who are the targets of discrimination; uninsured and underinsured people; and people who simply live in cities all seem to be particularly susceptible to health-related stress problems.

People who are less emotionally stable or have high anxiety levels tend to experience certain events as more stressful than healthy people do. And the lack of an established network of family and friends predisposes us to stress-related health problems such as heart disease and infections. Caregivers, children and medical professionals are also frequently found to be at higher risk for stress-related disorders.

Job-related stress is particularly likely to be chronic because it is such a large part of life. Stress reduces a worker’s effectiveness by impairing concentration, causing sleeplessness and increasing the risk of illness, back problems, accidents and lost time. At its worst extremes, stress that places a burden on our hearts and circulation can often be fatal. The Japanese have a word for sudden death due to overwork: karoushi.

Medical Affects of Chronic Stress

The stress response of the body is like an airplane readying for take-off. Virtually all systems, such as the heart and blood vessels, the immune system, the lungs, the digestive system, the sensory organs, and the brain are modified to meet the perceived danger.

A stress-filled life really seems to raise the odds of heart disease and stroke down the road. Researchers have found that after middle-age, those who report chronic stress face a somewhat higher risk of fatal or non-fatal heart disease or stroke over the years. It is now believed that constant stress takes its toll on our arteries, causing chronically high levels of stress hormones and pushing people to maintain unhealthy habits like smoking.

Stressed-out men are twice as likely as their peers to die of a stroke. There are weaker such findings among women, which is likely due to the fairly low number of heart disease and stroke cases among women, rather than a resistance to the health effects of chronic stress. Women seem slightly more susceptible to the effects of stress than men.

Simply put, too much stress puts you at dire risk for health problems. Whether it comes from one event or the buildup of many small events, stress causes major physical alterations that often lead to health problems. Here is a list of some of these changes:

• Our heart rates increase, to move blood to our muscles and brains.

• Our blood pressures go up.

• Our breathing rates increase.

• Our digestion slows down.

• Our perspiration increases.

• We feel a rush of strength at first, but over time stress makes us feel weak.

These reactions helped our ancestors survive threats by preparing for either “fight or flight.” Today, our bodies still react the same way, but the events that cause stress do not require this ancient mechanism.

Stress can also greatly raise our risk of:

• Ulcers and digestive disorders

• Headaches

• Migraine headaches

• Backaches

• Depression

• Suicide

• High blood pressure

• Stroke

• Heart attack

• Alcohol and drug dependencies

• Allergies and skin diseases

• Cancer

• Asthma

• Depressed immune system

• More colds and infections

We have to learn ways to relieve stress, because when it goes on for very long or happens too often, it obviously can cause many serious health problems.

The reason for stress and its effects vary from person to person, and hence learning certain techniques and understanding the value of self help on stress management makes a person happy without allowing stress to override. Stress should not be considered a disease, yet it should be a contributing factor triggering diseases such as skin disease, asthma, migraine, allergies and many more. If left neglected, it leads to awful and harmful conditions, and hence it is mandatory to look for self help on stress management ideas.

Headache, muscle pain, sweating, dizziness and thudding heart are some of the symptoms related to stress that makes a person feel tense resulting in becoming an introvert. The ultimate result is that their memory fails; they may get addicted to smoking and drinking, and enhance other problems of heart. Self help on stress management may be the right path, as it begins with finding the reasons that triggers stress and on recognizing them.

Self help on stress management deals with firstly accepting the problem and finding a solution. If you are able to control the situation, best, or else, take the support of relatives or good friends. On identifying the reasons for stress, avoid it and stay far away from them so that you are less stressed. This is one of the best self help on stress management. Talk to someone who understands the problem, mostly a friend and let the feeling go and take charge of it such that the control is in your hands. Self help is by inspiring yourself by reassuring that it is a passing phase and gradually diverting your mind from the problems is an appropriate way of stress management.

Eating and exercising is essential for the system, besides meditation gives the desired relief. As a result, when mind and body is at rest, getting stressed is highly unlikely and is the main self help to stress management. View optimistically and defeat stress by taking a balanced diet, rest for at least 6 hours, as a rested body is never irritable and also recovers fast. Similarly, relaxing lowers blood pressure and maintains the equilibrium of your body to the extent of just closing your eyes. Breathing slowly also releases tension. Meditation is a wonderful technique that offers relaxation to mind and body as it brings mental awareness and assists in deep relaxation.

Practicing yoga and exercising is also a right way to self help on stress management, as exercise chases away the stress hormones from the bloodstream and gives a well-being feeling. Aromatic oils such as geranium, rose, basils and lavender massaged on the forehead and scalp gives the desired relief from stress and activates energy. Similarly, drinking lots of water and herbal tea also helps in fighting stress, provided the intake of caffeine is reduced as it may stimulate the stress hormones.

Involving in games such as crosswords or word puzzles diverts your mind or even turning up some music or TV allows a person to move away from stress. Another self help on stress management is to set some time alone and pour out the emotions when highly stressed, as this gives amazing relief as the burden goes out, making one fell refreshed. This emotional cleansing helps in maintaining a proper balance and does wonders on acquiring relief from stress.

I didn’t really go into too much depth about what they DID have though. First, I’m going to go over a few of the best tag teams in the last decade, and look at some of the traits that made them so great.

First, we have what many would consider the best tag team of the last decade, and one of the best all-time to boot. They are currently a part of TNA, but have made their mark in the WWF and WWE, and should definitely be in contention when talking about the top tag teams ever. I’m talking, of course, about the Dudley Boyz, known now as Team 3D. Brother D-Von and Brother Ray compose this team, a pair of 300 lb guys who are probably the best tag team currently in wrestling today. Brother Ray is one of the funniest and most charismatic guys in the industry, from hilarious segments about trying to lose weight, to frustrating the hell out of Jim Cornette, he and D-Von constantly entertain on a weekly basis.

Second, and I’m only gonna go over three here, is probably the 2nd best Tag Team, behind the Dudleyz. I’m talking of course about the team of Edge and Christian, who dropped and won the belt 7 times in just a couple of years. The ‘brothers’ from Canada were also very entertaining in their day. Known throughout their days as a number of names, from Hard Impact to High Impact to the Suicide Blondes, to imitating Los Conquistadores, they did whatever they could to win the gold. The two originally started off, as many remember, as members of The Brood with Gangrel. The two soon broke off their relationship with Gangrel, however, and started feuding with the next tag team on my list. Later on after lots of great feuds with the next tag team, they aligned with Kurt Angle to form Team ECK, later known as Team RECK after Rhyno joined. They won the title 7 times during this time, and lost the belts after their final reign to the Brothers of Destruction. The team reunited a few more times, before Christian left for TNA.

The final tag team, and perhaps the last big name tag team the WWE has had, is of course the team with two of the most loved wrestlers in the WWE, The Hardy Boys. Known as Team Xtreme, The Hardys, The Hardy Boyz, and The New Breed when Gangrel joined up with them. Lita joined up with them, and they had a great two year rivalry with Edge and Christian. They participated in the first ever TLC match for the WWF Tag Titles at Summerslam in 2000, gaining them a large amount of priority, even though they lost. Their popularity with younger kids skyrocketed, including an appearance as un-named wrestlers on That 70s Show(if you find this episode online, send me a message, I’ve been trying to find it!). The team split up after a time, and Jeff Hardy was fired for drug reasons, but rejoined the WWE on August 4, 2006. The team reunited in late 2006, and fought through mid 2007 before starting to go their separate ways. They fought in November 07, but lost to MVP and Mr. Kennedy. The Hardys were a bit more unique as compared to, say, The Dudleyz, however. The Dudleyz are more remembered for their entertaining mic skills, whereas the Hardys are known for their in-ring work, and high-flying antics. One thing I personally find very interesting is that the Hardys are proof that fans are starting to prefer the high flying fast paced style as compared to the slow down style the WWE insists on promoting. The Hardys are still a popular pair of guys, and hopefully Jeff can recover from his recent loss of his home, and perhaps try to cut back on the drug problems, because he still has a chance to make his mark in a big way on the wrestling industry.

Now let’s take a look at some of the lesser tag teams in the WWE. First, we have Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore on Smackdown! The two weren’t really doing much as singles wrestlers, especially after the Cruiserweight Belt was thrown out, and, truth be told, haven’t done much as a tag team either, despite the fact that they work pretty well together and have talent. Another pair of guys is Curt Hawkins and Zach Ryder. Granted, they’re not really a tag team so much, since they’re aligned with Edge now, and granted, they aren’t very memorable, and fairly plain, but they still could be utilized as a tag team more often. A feud would be nice. The last tag team from Smackdown! I’m going to mention for now is Deuce and Domino. These two goons have just become jobbers, usually as singles, though the other guy and Cherry come out with them. From RAW, there are a few more ‘lesser’ tag teams. First is the McAllisters, Robbie and Rory. It was wondered if Robbie would be fired, as he was seen on a TNA episode, though one would think they would have done it by now. The other team I’ll mention is Cade and Murdoch. These two have become little more than jobbers in recent history, and have dropped off considerably since holding the tag team belts last year.

Next, we have the current Tag Team Champions. First we’ll start off with the WWE Tag Team Champs, John Morrison and The Miz. While Morrison experienced some tag success with Joey Mercury as part of team MNM, he hasn’t found any with The Miz. The WWE appears to have tried to repeat here the success they had with MVP and Matt Hardy winning the belts, which boosted that feud further. When MVP and Matt Hardy won the belts, it was to boost their feud, showing friction between the two. It helped big time too. The night they lost the belts, MVP turned on Matt, gaining major heat from the audience when he ruthlessly beat the hell out of Matt on Smackdown! However, Miz and Morrison, while it seemed might have potential at the start of their reign, have fizzled. They’ve gotten lost in the shuffle.

The World Tag Team Champs had their own little storyline that started off well enough, then fizzled. It started with Cody Rhodes trying to gain the respect of Hardcore Holly after getting his ass beat 3 times in a row by him. Somewhere along the line, Holly and Rhodes started teaming up and fighting as a team. On the 15th anniversary of RAW, the two beat Cade and Murdoch, winning the belts. It seemed like they might have an interesting run, but that petered off after a month or so.

Next to last, let me talk about the two tag teams, that in my opinion, can be the WWE’s ‘saviors’ of tag team wrestling. Let’s start off with SmackDown!’s Jesse and Festus. I’ll admit, when I started seeing the promos for these two, I figured they’d be a stupid tag team and that I’d never care to watch them. But while Jesse is still fairly boring to watch, though does well enough on the mic, Festus, who was actually the fake Kane for a time being in the past, is the star here. The crowd has grown to love this guy, who is docile until the bell rings to start a match, at which time he goes nuts. These two could use a good long feud with The Miz and Morrison, and it would be nice to get some heat in the feud. My next savior team is the one that just recently returned to RAW. Easily the most entertaining tag team, Cryme Time has started getting some good reactions from their antics of selling whatever they get their hands on to their chant ‘money money, yeah yeah’. These guys should be the face of tag team wrestling in the WWE in the future.

Here’s what I think should happen. First of all, the WWE should have Jesse and Festus win the WWE Tag Belts, and Cryme Time win the World belts. Then have a tag unification match at some point, with Cryme Time winning, and selling the WWE Tag Belts on RAW. Then what I think would be the best possible tag feud out there right now is Cryme Time vs The Miz and Morrison. Think about it, you’ve got the thugs who love to sell things, and the two Hollywood guys, who love spotlight and like to look good. Cryme Time could sell their stuff, perhaps Morrison’s shades, Miz’s hat, or Morrison’s coat, and there you have a nice feud.

The WWE has the potential to ‘revive’ the tag team belts, and the whole tag division, if things are done right. Cryme Time should become the next big tag team, and definitely has the potential to be an all time great. The WWE needs to unify the belts, and have Cryme Time as their World Champs.

And that’s the fishin’ line, cause Shark Boy said so.

Starting a new career after 50 is not only possible, but it may be easier than you think.

Starting a new career after 50 is not only possible, but it may be easier than you think. Thanks to modern medical technology, people are healthier and living longer than previous generations. It is conceivable that a career started at 55 could last twenty years or more! Currently the fastest growing labor group is the over 50 candidate. Employers have learned that they benefit by hiring experienced, reliable and dedicated over 50 employees.

Although the current job market has been grim, the over 50 candidate has huge advantages. Analyze your skills and you will find that many are easily transferable to other careers. What are your interests? Think about challenges you faced in previous job situations. How did you handle the challenges and what was the final result? After you have completed the self-assessment, give serious thought to careers that would fit your skills and interests.

Now that you have isolated the career or careers you are interested in pursuing, you need to do some critical research. What are the specific job requirements for the careers you have in mind? How many of your skills and job experiences are transferable? Will you need additional education or training? Perhaps the most important determination you need to make is the outlook for a specific career field. Are you looking at a field that is growing and, as a result, will have more job opportunities? What about geographical location? Will you find opportunities in your area or will a move be necessary?

When you have completed the self-assessment and research, you are ready to take the steps toward making a new career your reality. During the search phase, stay focused on your goal and your value as an employee. Take time to make a job search plan, develop great resumes (you may need more than one), and stay positive. There are some excellent books available that can boost your motivation and self-confidence levels.

Remember, you have valuable assets that you take to a new career. You are mature, dependable, have a great work ethic, job stability, varied experience, and a long list of unique specific strengths and skills. That new career is out there waiting for you.

Family stress management is a crucial part of managing your overall well-being. Whether stress comes from balancing jobs, family, and home life, no matter how hard we try it looms there, working its way into family life.

Family stress management is a crucial part of managing your overall well-being. Whether stress comes from balancing jobs, family, and home life, no matter how hard we try it looms there, working its way into family life. Children today are experiencing more stress related to school, peer pressure, and media events than ever before. Parents may be feeling the squeeze from loss of jobs, increase costs of livings and worrying about their financial future. How can families manage their stress without letting it get the best of them and wearing them down keeping families from enjoying one another?

Choose a Family Theme Song or Mantra

Belt out “All you need is Love” or “We Go Together” when stress starts mounting or times get overwhelming. By busting into song or reciting the family mantra helps to remind each other of who they can rely on. Make a big poster of your family mantra and post it on the fridge to stay connected when times get tough. Sometimes parents and children forget they are not alone and that each one of you has each other to turn to for help, advice, or a singing partner.

Take a Walk Together or Kick the Ball Around the Yard

Going outside even for a few minutes; the cool air, open space, and natural setting will automatically transform any negative feelings ridding the body of tension. The benefits of physical exercise, increasing the heart rate even for a few minutes expels energy, increases blood flow, relaxes muscles, and helps the body to oxygenate blood more efficiently, all are key parts of family stress management. Children are also much more likely to open up and talk with their parents when engaged in activity creating stronger bonds and strengthening the family.

Laugh out loud

When stress starts to build because the kids are fighting, dinners burning, and no one is paying attention to your repeated requests to set the table, laughter is the number one stress reliever. Studies have shown that even fake laughing causes endorphins the “feel good hormone” to release. Laughter often brings a sense of levity to any situation; once you see the funny it’s hard to be upset.
When it comes to career options after 12th, there are a wide range of options that you can choose from provided you scored good marks in class XII.

When it comes to career options after 12th, there are a wide range of options that you can choose from provided you scored good marks in class XII. While some of you might take up academics to build your career in the scholastic discipline, others might love to experiment with vocational courses after sorting through a wide range of career alternatives. Choices in the professional field include technical courses like engineering and architecture.

It is important that students choose a suitable stream in class 12 to ensure that they are able to join the career of their choice after they complete the 12th grade. Very often students don’t know what career they want to take up and hence they choose a wrong stream in school. It is better to consult a career counselor before deciding on the subjects you take up in school.

If you have humanities or arts background, you can qualify for a variety of creative courses as your career options after 12th. If you are planning further studies, take up a bachelor’s degree in any of the arts subjects. You could even learn a foreign language and aim for an interpreter’s job in the consulates and embassies. Some of the choices in this regard are French, Spanish, German, Russian, Japanese or Chinese. You can even prepare for the Indian Civil Service Examinations or State Civil Service Examinations. Besides these, there are courses in advertising, journalism, mass communication, media studies, business management, performing arts, travel and tourism and more.

There are a lot of career options after 12th if you belong to the commerce stream. For instance, you can take up company secretary course, chartered accountancy, computer studies or even business management. When it comes to qualifying for chartered accountancy, you should be aware of the fact that every year only a marginal percentage of candidates qualify for these examinations. This is why a lot of students choose to do Bachelor’s of Commerce with a specialization in computers before going for CA degree.

If you are a student from the science stream, there are actually hundreds of career options. You can do engineering in any streams such as mechanical, civil, metallurgy, computers, electronics, aeronautics, maritime and others. These are the options that require a combination of physics, chemistry and mathematics in class XII. For students aspiring to take up biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, agricultural or dairy science, medicine or dental studies, subjects such as biology, chemistry and physics are required in Class 12. One of the major advantages as to why students take up science is that they can switch to humanities or even commerce later on.

Students after passing their 12th grade examinations can also take up vocational courses in the field of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, computers, hotel management, hospitality management or business administration. One of the principal courses in demand these days is the MBA course – Master’s of Business Administration. Further, outside the ambit of schools and colleges, enthusiastic students can take up courses in fashion technology, jewelry design, aviation, radio jockey, packaging or industrial design. It is important to get into the career of your choice to ensure that you enjoy work.
